Artist, photographer, illustrator.

I’m an artist, photographer, mom and animal lover living in Corrales, NM. I’ve been married to my best friend for 19 years and we have two awesome boys, three goofy Great Danes, one ancient cat, and 12 chickens.

As an artist, I explore nature and the animal world through color, texture, and a mix of realism and intuitive abstraction. I also do some illustration here and there. I have made figures for geology books (I’m a former geologist) and I play around with creating my own digital art. I have a writing and illustration project forming in my head currently.

As a person, I throw myself into a lot of things. When we moved to Corrales, I wanted to be a part of the community here so I tried to find places where I could put my foot in the door and not let anyone close it. Haha

I volunteer at On a Wing and a Prayer in Corrales because I love birds (and the wonderful person who runs it), as you can see from my paintings. I’m the Vice President of the Corrales Society of Artists and the current Corrales Art Studio Tour director. I have a portrait photography studio on Corrales Road. I’ve photographed the Jogathon at the school for the yearbook for the last three years and I made the yearbook for a couple of years while in the PTA as well. I just love Corrales and I’ve made a lot of friends here by tossing myself into things when I think I can help out.

I am really fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth and do what I love. Some days I paint all day, some days I get to photograph people, and some days I draw things for other people. I’m incredibly grateful for everything and for having supportive family and friends who believe in me and my creative pursuits. And thank you, because you’re here and without your support, this wouldn’t be possible.

A photo of me, doing family portraits with my good friends in MT last year on a visit for a wedding, not looking super glamorous, but making a face I probably make a lot.
